Eubenagee Swamp National Park's wetlands are a significant habitat for waterbirds. The park also protects some of the last remnants of various lowland vegetation types. Much of it is swampland, supporting paperbarks, waterbirds and crocodiles. The rest is rainforest and grassland. Melaleucas and sedges feature around the swamp and rare plants grow in the park.
