The Coonabarabran Soldiers Memorial Clock Tower
In 1926 the people of Coonabarabran erected a beautiful and stiking Art Deco monument executed in sandstone. There was a lot of debate in the 1920s as to whether war memorials should be symbolic or utilitarian. In Coonabarabran they struck a balance by making the memorial a clock tower. It was erected at a crossroads in the main street and has become a symbol of the town. More Info
