Hay Railway Station (1882)
Former Hay Railway Station.The Hay Railway Station is also home to the POW & Internment Camp Interpretive Centre. Over 6,000 German, Italian and Japanese civilian Internees and Prisoners of War (POW) were kept in three Prison Camps at Hay between 1940 and 1946. They were guarded by over 600 members of 16th Australian Garrison Battalion.
The 'Dunera Boys', 1,984 German Jews and other refugees from Nazi occupied Europe, were the first internees of British Government WWII policy and arrived in Hay on 7th September 1940.Hay the regional centre for the Riverina District of New South Wales Australia More Info

Westpac Bank Hay NSW.
Built in stuccoed brick by Witcombe Bros. in 1877 for the AJS Bank. In 1910 became the Australian Bank of Commerce, in 1931 became the Bank of NSW, and in 1982 the name changed to Westpac.Hay the regional centre for the Riverina District of New South Wales Australia. More Info

Witcombe Fountain
This beautiful and elaborate cast iron fountain was the gift of the then Mayor of Hay, Alderman John Witcombe, to the people of Hay. It was erected in 1883 installed and connected to the water supply. The first water flowed from the fountain on 13th December that year.
It is still standing in its original place today. National Trust listing was obtained in 1979, and filtered water was connected in 1989.Hay the regional centre for the Riverina District of New South Wales Australia More Info
